1. ** Today has been hard...I’m on the verge of giving up, yet I feel so close to what I’m about to discover. Half of me wants to throw in the towel and let things happen as the may, the other half knows that I need to intentional about making my dreams come true. I hear the hiss of my VOJ screaming in my ear; telling me that I’m not good enough, that I can’t, that I won’t be able to do this. Somedays, I admit that I just fold and crumble to its demands. It’s hard to believe in something so fully when people around you don’t share that same vision or understand how it can be done. Today was one of those days… I woke up feeling energized and ready to go until I got on social media and saw someone not only doing what I want to do but doing it better than I could. It’s days like today that I need to be reminded to stay in my lane and stop looking at what other people are doing. I spent the rest of my day refocusing my thoughts and shifting my mind towards my goal. I believe it can happen and that’s enough. Today I will not fall victim to my VOJ.

Dear class,

When I stumbled upon this postcard, I thought to myself, “How can I make sure that my students don’t feel bad because they’re not in Florida like I am?” Well, the answer to that question was pretty simple! I could’ve sent you a postcard of the sandy beaches, rolling waves, or the glowing sunset, but instead, I opted for this postcard of a classroom. This is for those of you that didn’t get to go anywhere cool on spring break, but instead had to stay home. It could be worse… you could be in school! See you next week!
